ABOUT:
The seven pieces in this set, ranging in style and difficulty, were inspired by some of the most iconic and singular animals in Australia. They are the bilby, sulphur-crested cockatoo, emu, echidna, frilled-neck lizard, Tasmanian devil and thylacine. Capricci Australiani reveals both the composer’s admiration and deep affection for the Australian fauna.

Capricci Australiani was composed for the very talented Russian-born Australian violinist, Evgeny Sorkin.
